At Face Access, security and privacy are of utmost importance to us. We protect sensitive data and maintain a high privacy standard for our clients and their users.
Data Handling and Retention
Face Access has been designed with data minimisation in mind. We don't store Personally Identifiable Information (PII) for longer than necessary.
Our data retention policy dictates that PII is retained for 15 minutes. This brief retention period allows our clients to access required resources before the data is automatically wiped from our system, minimising any potential risk associated with prolonged data storage.
Biometric Genome - FeatureID
One of the key features of our Face Access solution is our proprietary and non-reversible representation of a face, known as the "Biometric Genome" or FeatureID.
With FeatureID, individuals can have their faces matched without needing face images to be transmitted via the API or involved in the matching process. This approach ensures that sensitive biometric data remains secure and significantly reduces the risk of unauthorised access to facial images.
Integration with IDKit Enterprise Environment
When utilised with your IDKit Enterprise environment, the authentication data is available within your controlled environment. It adheres to your retention rules and data management policies, providing complete control and transparency over handling authentication data.
